How do I track local rankings for a service area business that doesn't show an address?
Use a geo-grid rank tracker that can find a business with a hidden address. In Local Falcon, search for the business by name, choose a keyword, and center the scan on any town you serve. You'll see where it ranks at every point across that area on Google Maps and Apple Maps, and whether AI assistants like ChatGPT and Gemini recommend it there.
Why do my rankings drop in parts of my service area?
Google still weighs distance from the address behind your profile, even a hidden one, so rankings usually fade in towns farther from it. A geo-grid scan shows exactly where that drop-off happens, so you can focus reviews, posts, and local content on the areas you're losing.
What does Local Falcon cost for a service area business?
Plans start at $24.99 a month with 7,500 credits, and every plan includes unlimited locations and keywords. A 7x7 Google Maps scan uses 49 credits, so tracking 5 keywords across 4 towns every week uses about 3,920 credits a month. New accounts get 100 free credits. See pricing.
Does ChatGPT recommend service businesses like plumbers and roofers?
Yes. People ask ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google's AI features for recommendations like "best plumber near me," and they name specific businesses. Local Falcon runs those searches across your service area and shows how often you're recommended, who's named instead, and which sources AI cites.
Can I scan towns I serve that are far from my address?
Yes. You can center a scan anywhere and size the grid from a few blocks to a whole county, so you can check each town or neighborhood you serve separately and track them on a schedule.
