Quickly Schedule Scans and Filter Data with Local Falcon's Location Groups Feature

November 14th, 2023, 09:00 AM

For Local Falcon users who frequently schedule Campaigns or other types of Map Scans for large groups of businesses, Location Groups can save a lot of time. Not only that, but they also allow you to filter data sets more efficiently and easily share filtered reports with stakeholders.

What Are Location Groups?

Local Falcon's Location Groups feature is fairly self explanatory — it allows you to create preset groups of business locations that you can then easily import into a Campaign or another type of scan, saving you the trouble of manually searching for and adding each individual location.

As if that weren't enough, you can also create smaller subgroups of business locations, filing them under a top-level Location Group to further segment your locations and data.

Lastly, you can filter Campaign reports or sort other types of reports by location groups and subgroups, making it easy to get precisely the data sets you need to revise, compile, and show to certain stakeholders.

How Local Falcon's Location Groups Work in Practice

Let's say you're a Google Business Profile listing manager or a local SEO agency professional who uses Local Falcon to track and report on large groups of business listings for various clients.

It can quickly get overly time consuming and confusing setting up Campaigns and running other types of Map Scans for so many different business listings — this is exactly why we created the Location Groups feature.

If you use Local Falcon to track local rankings for several clients with multi-location businesses, you could create one Location Group for each of them to make running scans and filtering reports faster and easier.

Now, let's say one of those multi-location clients has some businesses in dense urban areas and some businesses in more sparsely populated rural areas, necessitating the use of different Scan Settings for your Campaigns and other Map Scans.

In this case, you could create two subgroups, one for the urban locations and one for the rural locations, and file them under the top-level Location Group that contains all of their business locations.
