How To Turn Off Scan Points in a Local Falcon Map Scan

There are a few different ways you can disable specific grid points in a local rank tracking or AI visibility scan. Doing so means you won't see any ranking or AI search visibility data for that specific point. This is helpful for points over bodies of water, for example, where you know people aren't going to be searching (i.e., unpopulated areas). You can always re-enable a point by clicking on it again.

The quickest way to turn off one or two data points is to simply click on any scan point after choosing your grid size to disable it.

For a faster way to turn off larger groups of data points, you can use the Pin Toggle Lasso feature as follows:

1. Click the Pin Toggle Lasso button found in the bottom right-hand corner of the Map Scan Tool.
2. Click and hold your cursor on any part of the map (it's best to start at a corner of the group of grid points you want to disable).
3. Drag the cursor around all the data points you want to turn off, releasing when done.
4. If you make any mistakes, you can still click on individual scan points to turn them on or off. Or, you can click the Disable All Map Pins button, then click it again to Enable All Map Pins to completely start over.

And that's all there is to it! Customizing the shapes of your local and AI visibility scan grids is a great way to ensure the scan data is relevant to the area a business actually serves as well as ensure you're getting the most out of your credits.
